Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about SAWG, its members, and its purpose.
Are visitors welcome?
Absolutely. As a visitor, you may attend critiques, meetings, and write-ins. You may visit our online groups for information. You may participate in a critique group, although only active members can be critiqued.
Is there an age limit?
SAWG is open to writers of all ages, but if they are younger than 18, we prefer that a parent or guardian be present. Some of the work that we share may not be suitable for children or young teens. When we’re in public venues, we will try to warn attendees of any potentially objectionable material.
What types of writing do you critique?
We’ve pretty much seen it all. We have writers of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, thrillers, young adult, middle-grade, children’s books, literary fiction, horror, women’s fiction, non-fiction/memoir, poetry, romance, and more.
